Hail Ridge Receives Chamber Award
Boonville, MO, Jan 17, 2006: Each year, the Boonville Chamber of Commerce takes time to honor those that have contributed to the Boonville area business community. During this year's banquet, Hail Ridge was chosen to receive the "New Partner" award.
The award, given to recognize significant new businesses in the area, was specifically given to acknowledge the "coming to life" of a business vision held by Jones and Norene Gann some 17 years ago – the creation of an eighteen-hole full-service golf course.
Opened August 1st., the course has received many positive reviews and the accolades of many new customers. Plans are currently underway to begin league and tournament play for the course's first full season.
Hail Ridge is Mid-Missouri's newest full-service 18 hole golf facility located just off of I-70 at exit 106 in Boonville. (14 minutes West of the Columbia Mall.) Hail Ridge is open to the public daily.
One Shot-Two Firsts!
Boonville, MO, Dec 23, 2005: In a first for the individual and a first for the course, Larry Frink of Fayette, Missouri carded a Hole-in-One at Hail Ridge Golf Course on December 23. Taking advantage of unseasonably warm weather, Frink, along with his playing partner Lee Schweighauser (also of Fayette) set out for a leisurely game, not knowing that this would be the day for his first ace.
Frink achieved his shot shortly into his game on hole #4, a 152 yard par 3. Frink used a seven iron for his miracle shot. In addition to his playing partner, the feat was also witnessed by John Higgins, Bill Watson and Clyde Schwermer, all from Sedalia.
Frink's ace also marked the first hole-in-One for the new golf course as well – earning Frink a spot on Hail Ridge's "Wall of fame".

Hail Ridge Ladies Invitational Results
Boonville, MO, Oct 11, 2005: Hail Ridge Golf Course hosted a Ladies Invitational Tournament and played host to 84 ladies from across Missouri. The four person scramble was primarily a social outing, bringing together all levels of ages and players. Also in attendance were representatives of the Missouri Women’s Golf Association to not only begin the rating process (for women) for the course, but to also explain to the attendees the goals and purposes of their association. The championship flight, with a 6 under 65 was Joyce Bledsoe from Eldon, Judy Killday from Boonville, Judy Schroeder from Marshall, and Sherry Shannon from Napton.
A-flight winners with a 3-over 74 were:
Ginny Brundage from Columbia, Susan Foreman from Rocky Mount, Beverly Kelliker from Brunswick and Peg Siefner from Sedalia.
B-Flight winners with a 9-over 80 were:
Angie Bell from California, Jane Hoskinson from Versailles, Dianne Lovan from Barnett and Donna Slagle from Versailles.
